VILLA L'OLIVIER
TERRES BASSES
Year: 2019-2024
Localisation: FALAISE AUX OISEAUX, TERRES BASSES, SAINT MARTIN
Phase: IN CONSTRUCTION
The project is inspired by Caribbean Creole architecture with the intention of reinterpreting this architecture in a contemporary way. The aim of the design is to combine traditional architectural elements - such as two-stories buildings, square roofs with four slopes, galleries with balustrades between columns - with contemporary design architecture.
The approach to the facades, which combines traditional architectural elements such as hip roofs and galleries with contemporary materials such as glass balustrades, photovoltaic panels and aluminum finishings, demonstrates attention to detail and respect for the local context, while integrating modern and sustainable solutions.
The architectural concept called follow the views is the logical consequence of the panoramic relationship of the building to create a fluid connection between the architecture of the villa, the terraces and the infinity pool and the surrounding landscape. This seamless integration between indoors and outdoors, with the spectacular views over the Caribbean Sea towards the islands of Saba, Anguilla and the Falaise aux Oiseaux, provides an immersive experience for the villa's residents.
